A consistent bedtime

Mornings start with sleep.

4 min read

A regular sleep schedule makes waking up easier. The CDC recommends at least 7 hours of sleep a night for adults.

Habits that help

  • Go to bed and get up at about the same time each day, including weekends
  • Keep the bedroom dark, quiet and cool
  • Put screens away a while before bed
  • Avoid large meals, caffeine and alcohol close to bedtime

If you can't sleep

If you have ongoing trouble sleeping or feel very tired during the day, talk with a doctor.
